Shameless Self PromotionOK as I'm just starting this blog on MSN's Windows Live Spaces, I'm going to kick it off by getting all of the shameless self-promotion out of the way. Please be patient with the posts below, therefore, since they are all about recent goings on. ;-) Entries made after this one will, hopefully, be a little more well rounded. Although I must admit that beyond commenting on my own recent activity, and perhaps the activity of my friends in the SEO world, I'm not yet entirely sure how I'll be using this yet. We'll see. Search Marketing Standard ArticleNot long ago I received an invitation to write a little ditty on Branding and SEO for the relatively new Search Marketing Standard print magazine. The magazine has made a great deal of progress in short period of time, so I thought the effort would be very worthwhile. Plus, issues related to branding and SEO are of particular interest to me, given my 20 year background in marketing and advertising. Unfortunately one cannot access the magazine's articles online, so you'll need to subscribe, or borrow a copy from a friend, if you want to read it. Here's an excerpt from the article ... for anyone interested:
Chat with Aaron Wall on SEOBook.comI'm lucky enough to count Aaron Wall of SEO Book as both a friend and business partner. Around the time of our soft launch of Clientside Search Engine Marketing LLC, Aaron took time to chat with me on SEO Book.com about search engine marketing, search algorithms, and the general approach I take to running an SEO business. WebmasterRadio.FM InterviewDuring the SES San José conference, I had the chance to chat about search engine marketing (link to MP3 file) with Greg Niland, a.k.a., GoodROI, on his Good Karma Web Radio broadcast over at WebmasterRadio.FM. It's hard not to have fun chatting with Greg, who is not only a hoot to hang out with, but one of the sharpest people in the business. Most recently, Greg moderated a few very successful sessions at WebmasterWorld's PubCon in Las Vegas. Clientside SEMFor those who've not heard yet, earlier this year I partnered with Aaron Wall of SEOBook.com and Threadwatch fame. Aaron and I have actually been working together on this project since early spring of 2006, but just recently did a soft launch of our Web site: Clentside SEM. I'm thrilled to be working with Aaron, who is not only one of the savviest Web people I know, but also one of the most kind-hearted and honest people I've met. |
